There’s something about the honesty of a child: the unending questions, the way they react to things they don’t understand. Like the snow, or the brightness of the sun. We all used to be these little beings who lived our lives out in the open, unafraid of the world. Then we grow older and something is different. That’s what my songs are about. They’re about growing up. They’re about learning to be curious and ask questions again. They’re about the way the grass feels under your feet after a long winter. And the way you feel when you finally know that you’re loved.
